terrestrial locale piture

I was wondering if anybody uses the terrestrial reception to view local channels. not to view hd locales but analog signals through hd reciever. My question is the picture better this way rather then viewing from direct tv.

Do you mean hooking the antenna directly to the Tv and bypassing the HD tuner? I dont because of poor analog reception.
If you mena do I watch Non HD programming using my STB, then yes. Sometimes the digital feed of the analog programming is better as in West Wing. Mostly I just use the locals from Dish unless the program is specifaly HD.

IMO... locals (analog or digital) look better OTA than from cable or satellite.
