I have recently started a small home theatre consulting and setup business in Toronto. I would use this cable in various scenarios to see how well it functions in different home appications. I have no personal need for the cable since my 5-year old HDTV has only component video connections, but it would get a lot of use.

At some point in the future, when I get a new TV, the cable will come in handy.

If this contest is not open to Mods, please do not enter my name. Thanks,

Please don't PM me with questions that can (and should) be asked in the forum, thanks. Personal Question? Fire away.

I don't currently need an HDMI cable, but probably will in the near future.

Until that time, I'd probably give to a friend or family member in need.

If it's free... I'll accept it.

I have a disabled friend who occasionally earns money helping people hook up their tvs, vcrs, etc. I would give it to him.

I am just tired of having to buy them. You can never have enough. So far I have my DVD player, Cable PVR, HD DVD Player and receiver all hooked up with HDMI. I still need HDMI cables for the PS3 coming and the Bluray player coming... and who knows what else in the future... You can never have enough.

MAX,

If I get them I could give them to my father who has a sony 46" lcd and is using component cables. I need him to hear and watch it with the HDMI. Get him into the better technology. Thank you

I need HDMI for my new HDTV

My 3-year old Philips plasma flat panel 42FD9954 broke. Fortunately the extended warranty with Fry's may give a replacement. But....all the new models seem to use HDMI connections. I dont have anything like that. Please send me one.

Thumbs up

I will soon be replacing my Comcast Phase II 6412 with a Phase III 6412, which employs HDMI vs DVI. At that time an HDMI-HDMI cable will come in very helpful.

However, I may choose to keep the Phase II box and use the new cable to strangle a neighborhood dog that's constantly crapping on my lawn.

Cheers!

I'm making the jump into HD all at once. I'm getting the HDTV (KDS-R60XBR2), HD cable (Cox SA8300), the receiver (Denon 3806), HD DVD player (HD-A1)and speakers (Def Tech PorCinema 80s) all at once. This cable will be used between the receiver and the TV so that I can have a good quality cable for all the signals to be sent through.

I already have a Xbox 360, so everything else is going to be a brand new, all in one shot... leap into HD. Anything that I can get for free will just help offset the money spent.
