Antennacraft products?

Hi,
New to the forum, I have the RCA dtc100, tosh RPTV, DTV, and live about 35 miles northeast of NYC. As far as OTA Hi-Def, I currently own a channel master 4-bay, with preamp. I can get most of the nets, but have to move the antenna constantly between about 235 and 245 degrees, and still with occasional dropouts So, I am thinking about the Antennacraft MXU59, plus a rotor, simply because this is the largest uhf-only YAGI I can seem to find. Any input on if this setup might "put me over the hump"? Are they good performing antennas? Thanks all, looking forward to learning and participating!

antenna craft is radio shack

Antenna Craft has been making aerials for R.S. for some time now. Please try a Channel Master 4228 or the Televes DAT75. I did a modifacation to a Channel Master 4248 antenna and I did pick up a higher signal level and front to back ratio is far better than the stock model. I think Channel Master engineers need to wake up now before the serious imported manufactures take the design and performance from them. Hirschmann , Hans Strobel, Fuba, Antiference, Blake, Triax, Televes has had superior antennas from the start. Our American companies still design 300 ohm antennas dating back to the 1950 era.

hi Aerielist-
appreciate the response. So, since the digital channels are all over the place here in fairfield county, from SW to NE, I thought the best idea was a "shotgun" type yagi, like the 110" yagi from antennacraft, with rotor. Is there something availabe, perhaps from the European brands you mentioned, that would do a superior job here and is available? Do you have any sites for them? Anyone else? Range needed is 35 to 60 miles, fairly tough urban conditions. But I am in a private home neighborhood, so I have a clear shot in the immediate area.

Thanks, GT

Blake antennas buy here

Try www.atechfabrications.com for some great info on digital antenna devices. They even have a comparison of a antenna craft/radio shack model and the removal of the r/s antenna was the best decision. You can get Televes from cpc distributors the website is http://custom1.farnell.com/cpc/ if this cant get you to it try Televes web site . Juan Molezun is the contact <molezun@televes.com> best to you and be safe in working on aerial installations please. John L.
