Just got my old Philips 42 Plasma out in the recycle coz of power problem and sold it for parts. Did saw this on a Frys ads and for $1000 will be a good budget. I havent heard anything about akai but will give a try with your advice. Its so hard to buy name brands and still they broke. Just wanna get a plasma coz i already have my stand and they look better. Hope you can help me out. Peace
