Digital audio switching?
Would it be possible to use an analog stereo audio switcher (3 in, 1 out) to switch digital audio, transmitted via digital audio coaxial cable? If just the red, right (or white, left) was used throughout, would it carry the signal?

If it works, is it possible for there to be signal loss? Or, since it is digital, is it all or nothing?
