White Corners?

I had a Westinghouse LTV-37w2 HD LCD HDTV with this problem and now I also have it with my Gateway FPD2485W TFT LCD monitor. There is white light that emits from the corners of the screen. This is just a paint/Photoshop example I did not a real picture but it gives you the idea.

So what is this problem?
Can anything be done about it?
I retuned my TV for a different brand and am thinking about doing the same for the monitor.

I had the same problem, I saw white cornes just when I switch off a lights, probably you'll have to bring back monitor to the shop and show them what a problem but do it in the dark room.
