Terks Tv42

I purchased the Terks TV42 placed in on my DSS dish and ran the HD ANT setup on my MITS WS-65511 I am able to get ABC, CBS, NBC, UPN. It has been very cloudy (FL), so I hope when it clears up I may get a few more channels like FOX & PBS. What do you think?

I found the RS double bowtie and worked OK, but I got tired of adjusting everytime I turned on the TV.

If this fails, I guess I will try the TERKS TV35 in the attic.

This is really just guess work until you find what works best in your area.

I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and all of the network transmitters are about 15 miles from my house and within a few hundred feet of each other, at the highest point in the area.
I originally hooked up my STB into a "master antenna" for my apartment complex. When I did that I was able to receive all the major networks except for NBC. I went and bought a TV42, hooked it up and I was then able to receive NBC but not CBS, and FOX was fairly weak so there was a lot of pixelation and the digital sound kicked in and out. I then had the bright idea that if I combined the signals from both antennas I would have the best of both, but that didn't work.
I just exchanged the TV42 for a Silver Sensor and am now able to receive all channels and it appears their signals are 100% (just tested it briefly). Maybe I should have tried the bowtie as it is much cheaper but it doesn't matter now as my problem is solved regardless. The only two downsides to it are that it is very directional (it needs to be moved slightly to receive different channels even though the transmitters are all right together), and it is also very light so it doesn't stay in place that well.
Bottom line is that while you may get lucky with it, the TV42 isn't worth a damn, especially $50.

TV42

I made a mistake, I am NOT getting ABC, and I am only getting CBS, NBC & UPN.

I do not however need to play around with any adjustments, that is really what I am looking for.

The TV42 is sensitive though and has to be adjusted just right on the dish to receive channels. When I had it hooked up on the top of the dish, I got nothing, then I kinda angled it to one side and was able to get a few channels.

I don't know how it is with other TV's but with my MITS, I have to let the TV FIND the channels. so it is pot luck!!!!
