Unhappy Picture jitter using 480p direct inputs

I have had a longstanding problem with progessive scan DVD on this unit. By now, I've tried a varity of players including the Panasonic H1000, RP91, RP56 and the Sony S9000ES. Unfortunately, with each of these machines running direct 480p into the component inputs on the Panny I can get noticeable picture jitter/quiver along the top 1/4 of the screen. Its as though vertical objects shake a bit from side to side. It doesn't happen with any other sources, including direct 1080i inputs. In all these situations the picture is rock steady. Nobody has been able to clearly identify what the problem is and where it might actually originate. Top service reps form panasonic said that it had to be with with the source (originally H1000) DVD player. However, it often seems to reappear with other players as well (although less often). The only way I've been able to temporarily overcome the problem is by turning off the individual components (off:on) a couple of times in succesion. It then often clears up (as if coming into proper sync), but not always!! I would really like to find a solution to this nagging problem, so if anyone with more technical know how can offer up some informative opinions, I would be very appreciative. With many thanks
