Question HDTV Antenna Recommendations

What experiences have you had with getting HD channels and with what antennas.

Radio Shack VU-90

These were on sale a few weeks ago for $24.99 (usually $59.99) and are capable of receiving signals from up to 90 miles. I get signals from 60 miles very well. I'm not sure if they are still on sale, you can check their web site.

Ian,
You need to go here first to get a base idea of what size antenna you need. Antenna Web.

Then check here to see more recomnedations Titan TV .

Do not believe what the specs on the box say for milage. The claims are based over flat land with no objects inbetween. UHF follows terrain causing more interference as compared to VHF.

For info purpose I have a RadioShack VU-160 on my roof about 60 feet above ground at tree level. The terrain is rolling hills. I also use the RS 25db antenna mounted amp. I am about 45 air mile east of the towers in Atlanta.
I am using a Pioneer STB and 90% signal. I was not that hard to mount and point the antenna with help from a friend

I have tried the Terk HDTVI and did not have much luck. After reading a lot of threads and getting advice from everyone here (Thank you), I have just purchased a Radio Shack 15-1880 $50. This is an awesome antenna. As soon as I hooked it up I was able to get all of my local HD channels and barely had to even move it around.

Just thought I would give you my $.02. Make sure whatever you buy you can take back in case it doesn't work.

My zip is 87124 and all of my broadcasts are yellow according to www.antennaweb.com
