I am using the DVCR with a Mits model WS65869 TV. Does anyone know if it is possible to set the DVCR to turn on in order to tape HD coming from the iee1394 port on the TV? I can set the T.V. to send the signals to the DVCR but I have to manually turn on the DVCR or leave it on continuously. Also , when the DVCR is OFF and I am watching DTV, periodically I see messages on the bottom of the screen of; " the DVCR is connected " or the DVCR is disconnected", as is the iee1394 port os seeking the device.
I have taped HD shows and the recordings are great! |

I am connected through iee1394. The record is setup by the T.V. but it will not turn on the DVCR. Apparently the JVC does not support the HAVI system so the Mits will not send a command to it to turn it on. I have worked out most of the conflicts without much help from JVC or Mitsi.
