is pioneer dv-c503 progressive scan?
Okay I have had this DVD player for over a year and through the searching I have gone through I cannot tell if it is a high quality DVD player capable of progressive scan. at http://vcdhelp.pricegrabber.com/rat...8dd5162f6872f62 the reviewer said it was progressive scan... I just want to know if it is actually progresssive scan... I dont know if any of you can help or not... I am planning to buy a new HDTV and I want to make sure I have a DVD player that takes advantage of it.

I visited a bunch of sites and the only one that said this unit was PS was the link you provided. I doubt it is PS.
Nevertheless, a good interlaced DVD Player can provide a picture on most HDTVs that's indistinguishable from a PS DVD player, especially if you don't spend a lot for the latter. You may want to wait until after you have your HDTV to see how it looks.... Check out the FAQs on the home page. There are a lot of useful hints for people shopping for HDTVs. See the posts: If only I'd have known. How large an HDTV to buy What you need to do to your new HDTV etc.
