How does sears display their hdtv feed?
I was in Sears and on all of ther hdtvs they are running a loop of highdef images. How are they doing that and with what? The pictures look so great.

Haven't been in lately, but they used to show the DISH HD info channel.

Some retailers use Satellite or Cable, or OTA.
Some Retailers use D-VHS machines. Some Retailers use FReD (see link below). It's a hard disk server that you can load a lot of HD stuff on. Canadian eh? http://www.fredsystems.com/

Sears uses Premier Retail Network (PRN) for thier television feeds. The NTSC analog feed and the ATSC digital feed comes from a video server which gets updated by satellite once a month. The HDTV's pick up the ATSC signal from a coax feed. For thr HDTV ready sets, the coax goes to a JVC 6000 satellite receiver with the ATSC tuner installed. The component video and audio from the satellite receiver goes to several Audio Authority 985U distribusion amps and then to individual sets.

There is absolutely no difference between an HD picture received via Satellite, Cable or OTA. They are all beautiful because they all use roughly the same bandwidth from the same source.
If anything, satellite has the least bandwidth available, but no noticeable difference in PQ, so let's say they're equal so we don't start an argument.
