Unhappy PT47WX53 Color Problem

Hi,

I bought a Pan PT47WX53 about 2 weeks back. Since yesterday I started having some weird problem with the colors. Anywhere there's a black color, it's showing a red color! Is there a setting that got turned on or off that's making this happen? I hate to think that this thing broke in just 2 weeks.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Raj

Welcome to the forum. Perhaps someone else can help with your problem. However, please be aware that most electronics either break right away due to a defect in manufacture (infant mortality, or sometimes DOA) or they last a good long time. That's why most people with problems have them early. Let's hope it's something that's easily repairable, or that you get it exchanged.

Please don't PM me with questions that can (and should) be asked in the forum, thanks. Personal Question? Fire away.

Does anyone know how to reset all settings like color, tint etc to factory default? I saw the guy in the store hit some 2 buttons on the remote to reset everything.

I was finally asked to call the Sears Warehouse from where it was shipped and they said they'll swap out this one for a new TV. It'll arrive tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone for their input.

On a side note, I got the TV for $939+taxes. PT47WX42 was on sale at Tweeter couple of weeks back for $999. I took that ad and went to Sears and they PMed for PT47WX53 at 110%! I thought it was an awesome deal and jumped on it.

wow

that is a hell of a deal on the newest model! 939? Damn.. That's great. I think it sells for like 1300 at a local shop here. I'm going for the 53wx53 in a couple weeks.. 1649 for that one.
