I bugged the people over at dish and they finally sent me some info on the new DVR. Looks like it will have everything I need. I am planning to buy the HDTV in December - hopefully this will be available by then.

Like all DISH Network satellite TV products, the DISHDVR 921 is software upgradeable via satellite which provides consumers new capabilities instantly as they become available.
