My sister just purchased a sony KP-53HS30, she already has Direct TV and an OTA attenna. She does not record video or anything else. Just watches Direct TV, DVDs and hopefullly HDTV OTA with the right reciever. She is going to use her old receiver in another room, so she wants to but an HDTV receiver. She does not want to wait for new receiver models, please let me know what receiver to recommend.
Thanks in advance. |

Thanks, I read on the E86 impressions thread below that the guy was not happy with the quality coming in from his E86 on stations such as ESPN and he was using his RCA digital receiver for that. Are you aware whehter this is a common complaint or whether that issue been addressed by Hughes? My sister (and I when I go over there) mainly watch DirectTV stations such as ESPN and the NFL Football package.

ESPN it self is a lousy feed. It is not the box.
Stanley Cup Playoffs were horrible as well as World Cup Soccer. I have digital cable(not Hd) and it sucks for ESPN. The Food Channel looks Yummy though. This has been a common complaint across the boards... Last edited by kevinw : 07-11-2002 at 05:00 PM. |
