Projector for Low Ceiling?

My drop ceiling is only 7' tall. If I mount a projector 12' away, will I have problems with people walking in front of it? Been looking at rptv, but like the idea of bigger screen size, just wonder if my ceiling would be too low.Seating position would be about 11-12' away.

I think 'people walking in front' is something we will never get away from regardless of the type of display. It won't hurt anything except maybe their night vision if they look at the projector. .

Don't know the brand of projector but for the Toshiba TDP-MT8U here are some mounting distances and screen sizes.

Mounting distances from the screen and the available screen sizes (min/max).

10' - 66" - 92" screen
12' - 80" - 110" screen
14' - 93" - 130" screen

There are forum members with front projector HT's. Maybe they can give you a little more insight.

Good Luck,
Lee
