HDTV-Recording and Playing from computer
I hope this is the right place to ask this. I'm wondering if there is a way to hook a PC to a HDTV so that you can view WM9 movies such as T2. I would imagine it would need a special video card with a separate DVI output or component output for the HD Receiver. As well, are there any cards out that will take video in from a STB so that you can record HDTV onto your computer?

I believe those DVDs can only be played on a high powered computer and viewed on a computer monitor.
Next year there will be "HD-DVD" players that may decode WM9 (I've heard rumours of this) At this point in time, there are, I believe only two WM9 HD DVDs - T2 and "Standing in the Shadows of Motown".

57U is right about needing a computer. I don't know of any DVD players that support WM9 yet. You can output from a computer to many current HDTVs and most projectors though. Many current video cards have DVI outputs so you don't need an extra card and some ATI cards support a component adapter. I think you can also buy separate adapters for VGA to component. The biggest issue is getting the refresh frequencies that your tv needs to work on your vid card. There is lots of information on this at avs forum.
