OTA NEw York Long Island

I live on Long Island, 40 49 14 N ;73 07 14 W, 45 miles ACF from ESB, where WCBS-DT (56) and FOX,UPN (5-1,5-2). I have CM 4248 Yagi pointed at 249 degrees towards ESB. Get great HD ( high 70's) picture for 56, but nothing from 5-1 and 5-2 (locked but 30 to 40 sig strength). Would a pre amp help ? On same bearing but 5 miles further away are or will be PBS DT (61 ). The only other local station is in connecticut (north) about 50 miles away an ABC affiliate. AM thinking of stacking another Yagi higher up the mast and mixing the signal. Could this work ?
